MY APPROACH
The Human Factor: Living and leading from the Core
Culture creates performance.
Humans create culture.
The single most important thing for any changemaker to understand is the human factor - the paradox of how we are each different and what makes us all the same - in other words, what makes us ALL tick.
If you want others to follow, as a leader you need to model the way.
When it comes to organisational change and growth, it is a simple fact that organisations are made up of human beings.
In a study of corporate culture and performance, organisations that paid deliberate attention to the internal environment ie: leading the desired culture had a ten-fold growth in revenue, employees, stock price and net income over those that didn’t.
To ensure real results and sustainable change in your outer game - you need to pay attention to your inner game - because that is the agent of change. A thriving Culture is created from the inside out.
When you align your inner game to the core, your true essence - you discover the source of true success.
To take care of the human factor we need our leaders to value humanity, heart and wisdom.
This shift will require empowering and valuing the Feminine energetic to balance the Masculine energetic in business. I don’t mean gender - I mean energies.
We all have both. Just like a battery has a positive (anode) and negative (cathode) to create electricity - we need to find this balance internally within ourselves, as well as with others. To achieve sustainable success we need the balancing dance of polarity or union of these energies.
A bird cannot fly with one wing.
Elizabeth’s work moves away from gender politics and any baggage associated with the words Masculine and Feminine, to simply call these energies:
Headpower - focus on achieving the goal with clarity and confidence
Heartpower - focus on serving the whole with connection and creativity
We all have both of these aspects (although we naturally lean towards our natural preference). Both are good. Both are powerful. Both are valuable. Both are necessary.
Both the head and the heart are needed for balance.
Many business leaders - often feel they have to constantly compete, cover up their humanity, suppress feelings, intuition or instincts or try to be a version of themselves that they think they should be to succeed. This seems necessary in what can feel like a dog-eat-dog world that prizes what is measurable over what is harder to measure, yet equally matters for humans. And yet…
“Not everything that can be counted, counts."
- William Bruce Cameron
We are human. Whether we consciously remember and account for this or not - we are all a part of nature and work more like trees (ebb and flow) than washing machines (push a button: go). We too need care and tending to, listening to what is the natural flow and our deeper intuitions.
Elizabeth enables leaders to empower themselves to align with their natural Heartpower and lead with humanity, heart and wisdom; achieving their goals with clarity and confidence.
Elizabeth’s mentoring and coaching are based on the philosophy of breakthrough performance and the fundamental principles of how the mind works.
She focuses on insight-based learning; drawing out a Leader’s innate capacity for wisdom.
Her approach derives its theoretical underpinnings and models from business, sports and positive psychology, breakthrough technology, the field of ontology, Jungian Archetypes as well as a variety of cutting-edge, practical coaching approaches.
Elizabeth also aligns with Ancient Wisdom Traditions; becoming more of who you truly are with wisdom, compassion and balance. These principles are embodied in Stoic philosophy and Hermetic Principles and illuminated by the work of Erikson, Maslow and Jung.
What problems are you experiencing as a leader?
To cultivate a culture of clarity, confidence, connection and creativity….
You need to cultivate the Core.
When you insightfully understand how the Core works and is alive in you, you get a reassuring taste of your own innate wellbeing and can let your wisdom lead to practically solve any challenge you might have. This results in a lot less unnecessary activity and a lot more effortless individual, team and organisational flow.
